Full house for talk on Constitution

Kris Anne Hall, Third Circuit Assistant State Attorney, Hamilton County, and a former attorney with the Christian Law Association, addressed Suwannee County Republicans recently at City Hall on the topic of “originalism” in Constitutional interpretation. Originalism, which Hall endorses, is an effort to determine the original intent of a text or law.

"We have given up our voice for comfort and services,” said Hall, who compared federal funding to a “drug.”

Hall is a graduate of the UF School of Law.

Next month's speaker will be Elizabeth Porter, Republican candidate for the District 11 Florida House seat now held by Debbie Boyd. The meeting is set for Thursday, March 4, at 7 p.m. at Live Oak City Hall.
