No real impact from storms, says NWS

By Jeff Waters, Democrat Reporter

About three inches of rain fell near Pinetta in Madison County Monday, according to the National Weather Service. The NWS said the rain made the Withlacoochee and Alapaha rivers rise slightly, but not enough to cause renewed flooding. The rivers, which empty into the Suwannee, are blamed for recent flooding in Georgia and North Florida.
